Oh Dear Ordell !!

The V-dub experience was a surprise for my husband as a trip down memory lane when he had his own van (before a wife and children took over his bank account...).

We collected Ordell for a long weekend and headed down to St Ives - staying at Little Trevarrack campsite. The site was very family orientated with a gorgeous pool, excellent facilities and very clean.

Although the start didn't quite go to plan, with the small issue of a breakdown 15 minutes from our destination, the children were so excited about having a ride in a tow truck to the campsite !!! Paul and Penny were quick to offer solutions and drove our own car to us the next morning while mechanics were put in place to get Ordell back on the road again.

The weather was dreadful but this didn't dampen our spirits and in true British style we braved the elements, enjoying dinners in the awning followed by hours of playing Uno....

The awning was easy to put up (not so to take down in the 60mph winds) and was essential additional space for sleeping in (husband), and drying wet clothes...

We also spent a lovely day at Perranporth beach surfing.

The children were really sad to come home but we will be booking another trip very soon when hopefully the sun will be shining and we already have our eye on Mr Orange.....
