Rosie

Rosie’s story is a Cinderella-style tale of rags to riches (or rust to renovation and renown). She spent years locked up in a garage, unloved and forgotten. When she was finally rescued, as a possible project in 2008, she was again overlooked in favour of splitsceens and shinier bays! She sulked in a corner of the workshop, referred to as ‘Mrs Orange’, sadly wearing her rusty orange paintwork for yet another season before her time came. She was fully restored over the summer of 2010 and sprayed a lovely green and white. She was even given a new name: 'Purdey' and was booked for seaside holidays – finally one of the hire fleet. But her big moment was yet to come. In the spring of 2012, Visit England was searching for a suitable camper for a 10 week adventure following the route of the Olympic flame. Purdey was given a beautiful wrap and renamed 'Rosie', following a Facebook competition. Visit England’s fan in a van, Rachel Kershaw won the role of driver and she & Rosie travelled the country, blogging and tweeting as they went. Rosie even finished her trip with a tea party in the tower of London – venturing where no campervan has ever gone before!

Now back at the workshop, we all agree that she looks so amazing we can’t remove her wrap and the name ‘Rosie’ just suits her. So here she is, finally a camper with a name, some rather eye-catching paintwork, and a bright future on the O’Connors fleet.

Rosie has a double bed downstairs, 2 hammocks upstairs, perfect for teenagers, and a solid bunk over the driver's cab, suitable for children up to 8 years old. She comes with the usual facilities we offer (see bottom of page) included in the price. She has a CD player and an aux for ipod. For further extras, please visit our extras page.

Sleeps 2 plus 3. 5 seat belts: 2 lap and diagonal in the front and 1 lap and diagonal belt and 2 lap belts in the back.
