How to Book
You can book either via our website – visit the availability page – or contact Zoe direct via email zoe@oconnorscampers.co.uk or on 01837 659599.
There is a non-refundable booking deposit of £150, receipt of which confirms the dates of your booking. We can take payment via the website, or by phone (with a credit or debit card) or by cheque. The balance for your booking is due 42 days before the hire period commences.
A £750 security deposit is held during the hire period and is refundable on the safe return of the vehicle and its contents. This is payable by credit or debit card swipe, or cash.
Phone or post booking
If you have booked by phone or post we will send you the insurance and equipment booking forms. On receipt of these we will contact you to confirm the total cost of your hire. This will be the hire charge, plus any additional costs due to an extra driver or driving history or any extra equipment (see table below).
Online Booking
You can now make your booking and manage the details on our website. Click on your chosen van, select your preferred dates and follow the instructions. Once you have confirmed your dates and payment click on 'Manage Your Bookings' to upload your equipment and insurance details. Final payment can now be made online.
What is included in the price?
Included free within the hire price is your choice of either a 2, 4 or 6 berth campervan, fully comprehensive insurance for the first driver, unlimited mileage, AA Breakdown cover, a free standing awning which attaches to the van, 2 bottles of camping gaz, mains hook up, cooking equipment, crockery, cutlery, cycle rack and an extra outdoor table and chairs so you can enjoy the sunshine.
We aim to equip our vans so that your holiday begins the moment you turn the key. Your campervan will be equipped with everything you need from a corkscrew to washing up liquid.
Gift vouchers
We can arrange vouchers for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries or just as a great surprise for your partner, loved one or dog. A weekend’s hire is a very popular gift. Just contact Zöe on 01837 659599 or zoe@oconnorscampers.co.uk. She makes gorgeous bespoke vouchers for your loved one.

Periods of Hire
You can hire one of our campervans over the following periods:
Weekend shortbreak: Friday 14.30 to Monday 10.00 am
Midweek shortbreak: Monday 14.30 to Friday 10.00 am
Week: Friday 14.30 to Friday 10.00 am / Monday 14.30 to Monday 10.00 am
Between Friday 9th July and Friday 27th August some of our campervans are only available for weekly hire.

Car Storage
You can park your car inside or outside our workshop at no extra cost. Your car will be parked at your responsibility.
Great Places to Stay
We can provide you with a list of original and out of the way places to camp, recommended by friends, locals and some of our previous customers.
Age
You can hire one of our vans for use in the West Country if you are aged between 25 and 70 years old. You will need to have held a full driving licence for 2 years before the hire period commences.
Pets
Pets are welcome unless you have an elephant. We charge £20 fee per hire.
Extent of hire
We ask that if you are renting one of our vans you remain within Cornwall, Devon and Somerset.
In the event of breakdown
In the event of breakdown, all the vans have full AA cover. They each carry comprehensive service kits to aid the AA. Our vans are not only covered by the AA – they are also covered by Pete’s 26 years experience and knowledge of VW vehicles which means that he can fix most things on call. In the unlikely event that your van needs to be brought back to our workshop, we have a spare van available. Our aim is to get you back on the road in your original van as soon as is humanly possible. Having said all this, Pete is regularly giving the vans lots of TLC so the vans can just keep on pootling.
